CLEARSTORY
FALL 2022 | EGD + WAYFINDING INTERNSHIP
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Clearstory is a company that develops and illuminates the physical space by creating wayfinding and placemaking to help people navigate their environment. As a member of the design team, I was tasked with creating and designing projects for the local Bay Area.
During my time at Clearstory, I worked collaboratively with a senior designer to develop wayfinding and wall graphics for UCSF Mission Bay Benioff Children’s Hospital. We were asked to create a wall graphic and add wayfinding for the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. Our goal was to create a more welcoming environment that clearly directed families and visitors to the unit.

The first concept is inspired by the Bay Area. Incorporating the water and the lighthouses that are seen on the coast. The light from the lighthouse acts as wayfinding to lead visitors to the unit.

INSPIRATION CONCEPT 2
The second concept is inspired by marine life in the San Francisco Bay. The bubbles lead the way to the unit. The bubbles create a friendly, fun environment to welcome visitors as they walk through.
